Depart by comfortable coach toward the northern reaches of the Noto Peninsula.
Shiroyone Senmaida Rice Terraces (Viewpoint)
Admire the iconic rice terraces cascading toward the Sea of Japan. In May, the flooded paddies may reflect the sky, creating a stunning seasonal landscape. (Photo stop only.)
As you travel further north, pass near RokkozakI Cape — the northernmost point of the peninsula — effectively tracing much of Noto’s dramatic coastline. Enjoy panoramic views along what is often called the Noto Peninsula Scenic Route.

Suzu Salt Village (Agehama Salt Fields)
Visit one of Japan’s few remaining sites preserving the 500-year-old Agehama method of salt-making. This traditional technique, unique to Oku-Noto, produces mineral-rich natural sea salt without additives. Learn about the process and browse locally made salt products, including sweets and specialty items.

Chiharu Shiota – “The Boat Carrying Time” (2017)
View the large-scale installation created for the Oku-Noto Triennale. With commentary from your guide, gain insight into the artist’s concept and the connection between memory, sea, and time.
Lunch at Shiosai Restaurant
Dine at Shiosai Restaurant, located in a building designed by architect Shigeru Ban. Overlooking the outer coast, enjoy a “Sea and Forest” lunch plate featuring seasonal ingredients sourced from Suzu’s satoyama and satoumi landscapes.A relaxed café-style plate showcasing local rice and delicatessen-style dishes prepared under the supervision of a renowned regional chef.
Suzutheatre Museum (Hikari no Hakobune)
Visit the Suzu Theatre Museum, opened in conjunction with the Oku-Noto Triennale. Housed in a renovated former elementary school gymnasium, the museum uniquely blends folk artifacts collected from local households with contemporary art installations.Please note: Due to earthquake-related damage, certain video works may currently be unavailable for viewing.
Roadside Station Suzunari
Stop briefly for shopping and local specialties before beginning the return journey.
